Mounting Notes:
All ECCO pumps can do both “push” or “pull”. Usually, a “pull” pump is mounted in the
engine bay and would be a low pressure pump, ie 20-083, whereas a “push” pump is normal
pressure and mounted at the rear of the car close to the tank. Fuel Flow recommend the
“push” scenario for all but the 20-083 – but all ECCO pumps will “push or pull” just fine.
The closer to the carburettor that a pump is placed equates to increased pressure on the
carburettor components, which are often weak or worn out, which is why “push” mounting at
the rear is recommended.
