Qualitat European Motors was founded in 1972 by Wayne & Josie Fenton. We started from humble beginnings back then with just a hand full of staff and maybe one hoist – fast forward 49 years and we now have an operation employing 21 staff and become New Zealand’s largest independent Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda service and repair agent. In 2019 Wayne & Josie Fenton handed over full ownership to Vagn & Kylie Dyson – Vagn became a director and part owner of Qualitat European back in 2012, but has been with Qualitat since starting his apprenticeship in 1993, so he’s no stranger to the place.

At Qualitat we only stock and import parts from leading manufacturers mainly sourced / made in Germany. With over 40,000 parts held in the onsite distribution warehouses in Auckland & Christchurch. Qualitat also runs an easy to use online parts shop with most lines being available for purchase, that list is always growing of course with some significant changes and additions and upgrades to come.

In the Auckland branch the workshop team consists of 8 service technicians, with 2 dedicated Air-cooled experts. Front of house we have 5 dedicated parts staff and 3 service staff amassing a wealth of experience in the old and the new. We also recently opened a dedicated parts branch in Sydenham, Christchurch to offer a better level of service to South Island customers. There likely isn't a VW, Audi or Skoda we haven't worked on and with that said Vagn and the service team are all too happy to share that knowledge and expertise with other workshops when they have tricky situations and need a hand.
