Here are several places the engine code can be on your vehicle, they will be a three or four letter code possibly followed by several numbers (numbers are not necessary) for example AXR, BLS, BMR, CAXA, CDCA etc.
On the drivers door sill:
Under the rear boot carpet:
Beside the spare wheel well:
There are also several places it could appear in the engine bay, but with time these can become faded.
On or beside the drivers side strut tower:
On the cam cover:
