Crankshaft Timing Gear Lock Tool – TOOL-T10050

VW Crankshaft Timing Gear Lock Tool. Used to hold the lower timing belt gear pulley in place and helps maintain TDC during timing belt or other engine service. Tool slides into the gears of the lower timing belt pulley and then into the oil pump casting housing for an exact crank timing reference. Fits 2004-2008 VW Beetle, 2004-2006 VW Golf, 2004-2005 VW Jetta, and 2004-2005 VW Passat 1.9L or 2.0L TDI applications with BEW or BHW engine codes.

Please Note: This tool is NOT the specified tool to be used when torquing or loosening the crankshaft bolt.
